Getting married in Greece is always a good idea!
Simply because it is a beautiful country with numerous locations to tie the knot in a way that will be remembered forever!
Crete is an island that provides a lot of variety and options for a couple looking to marry on a Greek island. It is a place with a lot of history, beautiful beaches, great hotels and resorts, and generally anything that will provide a high level of service for your wedding.
Ylenia and Tyler are a charming couple from the United States.
They live in San Francisco, where Ylenia is a recruiter and Tyler is a LinkedIn employee. We had been communicating for a long time prior to the wedding, and I was doing everything I could to accommodate all of their requests for their wedding day. We had a pre-wedding meeting at the hotel next to my house when they arrived in Greece, which was a nice way for us to get to know each other before the wedding. Ylenia and Tyler then gave me a “thank you” card – before the wedding!
It was my first time receiving a thank you card before delivering my work to the couples, and it was a memorable experience for me. It felt wonderful that Ylenia and Tyler went to such lengths to thank me for everything I had done for them prior to the wedding!
Ylenia has Greek heritage because her parents were born in Greece and moved to the US many years ago.
That is why they decided on getting married in Crete, as it holds a special place in their hearts.
So that’s what happened, and they married at Amirandes Boutique Resort in Gouves, near Heraklion Town.
Their wedding ceremony at St Konstantinos Church in Gouves was very intimate, and their reception at Amirandes Hotel was a lot of fun, with lots of good food and partying!
